TOPCon solar cell technology is a cutting-edge development that is significantly more efficient compared to PERC/PERT solar cells, which have a very similar structure. Panels of this type have higher efficiency, with conversion efficiency exceeding 25%. A lower temperature coefficient, less than 0.3%/°C, greatly improves their performance in a lot of extreme weather conditions.
The bifacial factor for PERC photovoltaic modules is typically around 70%. TOPCon solar panels have demonstrated a bifacial factor reaching 85%. Additionally, the structure of such solar cells is more resistant to dirt and debris.
